Hi, Just wondered if I could help anyone who is researching Docwras from the Hull and East Riding area? My mother is Gloria Docwra and my Grandad William Docwra. His son died, so there are no longer any Docwras to carry on his name. So I suppose I might be the last area of knowledge for this family. :(
Anyway, on a lighter note. Feel free to email should you require any info.
Regards, Debbie

The guestbook is suffering from automated spam. To prevent this I have set a message size limit which real users can handle but scripts can't. This means that your message will only show if it is exactly a hundred characters long. Characters include punctuation and spaces. As soon as I can install a better option I shall do - sorry for the inconvenience meanwhile.

Hi Frank, yes fine thanks, just snowed under with work. I've had hardly any time to do Docwra research for ages but I do check the Guestbook daily and delete the spammers. Hope all's well with you.

I am not a Docwra, but have a little Docwra blood in me. My 6X great grandparents were Abel Titmus and Sarah Docra who married in Guilden Morden, Cambridgeshire, 15 Oct. 1777. I was very interested to see what interesting Docwra ancestors I have!
Via the internet (and I can't vouch for 100% accuracy as it is other peoples' research, not my own) I have managed to link a few family trees together which trace the Docwra ancestry back(via John Docwra 1489- 1531, of Temple Dinsley) through the St George, D'Argentine, Darcy, Bertram, De Lucy, and De Boulougne families back to Alfred the Great. If anyone else is interested, let me know and I will email you what I have found. There's some pretty interesting characters along the way!
